They have a sign on the highway that advestises continental breakfast and an indoor pool. Apparently the pool has been closed for 6 years and when I went the breakfast was unavailable, but they didn't tell me that when I was booking the hotel. Rooms were fine, but staff was kind of standoff-ish. I Wouldn't stay here again.
So we came up to the hotel, and the sign said Pool/Continental breakfast. That's pretty exciting right? Well neither were open for our stay, and we later found out the pool hasn't been open for six years. So the sign could be changed to reflect that maybe. Besides that the rooms were nice enough and the beds comfortable.
Clean, cozy, and great place for the location - youre not going to find much better between Winnipeg and Western Canada. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms were a little cold and unwelcoming with a bit of a weird layout(the toilet paper is so far away and the toilet is REALLY close to the sink). With the mirror was far from the window with a wide desk in front of it, so its a bit hard for someone to do their makeup in decent light here, but that was my only complaint!
Although clean (as in no bugs), our room wasnt made up at all, we shared two towels among 4 of us (for two days cause no cleaning staff came). When we asked for more towels they said they didnt have anymore. Staff was rude, closing the door to the breakfast room as if we were a nuisance. Went for a funeral and everyone staying all paid different prices for the same room. Also advertising a pool however the pool is broken. 10/10 will not stay again
The man working the evening shift was really rude to us. We were in a connected room with people we didnt know on the other side, which is a little strange.The tv from the strangers next door was really loud in our room (we even had ear plugs) so we asked if there were any other rooms. He said no, its not even loud and just told us we were wrong. Super weird response for hotel staff! I dont understand why staff wouldnt want to be helpful to their guests when they work in the hospitality industry.
